This summer I decided to create the ultimate comfort quilt. With fall fast approaching I needed something light and soft to cover up with while reading a book, watching a movie, or taking a nap (not that I take naps . . . )

My fabric of choice: Stretch Knit
When I was younger my mother used to make a lot of my clothes out of stretch knit. This is evidenced by the boxes of material we have in storage. In addition to being a great children's clothing material, stretch knit is great for making quilts. It is light and comfortable (feels like wearing a t-shirt).
It's only draw back: It stretches when you sew it so that the seams don't line up. I used bigger squares so it would be easier.
