Reflections

The next assignment my photography teacher has given me is to take pictures of reflections. I am posting my top 3 right now. It is much more difficult that I thought to take interesting reflection pictures.

(you might have noticed that this picture was taken on a very
different kind of day than the last picture. It is a few weeks older.
I took it by accident during my portrait assignment. I'll give
you a dollar if you can guess what the trees are reflecting in.)

replacing my old post

Ironically I am re-posting a post on another Snow day .. . . Here it is:

I said I would upload the rest of my pictures and I obviously it put it off for quite a while. Sorry! Ironically today is also a snow day. Unfortunately, the snow is not quiet as beautiful and fluffy. It is more like a frozen crust.

SNOW DAY

Miracle of Miracles! I have a snow day today. I hoped and prayed that I would have one more snow day before graduation. There was certainly enough snow to have a snow day. I haven't seen such a large accumulation in a long time. Of course, I went outside and took some pictures.

. ... I am currently having technical difficulties, so more pictures will be forthcoming .... . ..

Scary Trees Mural

So . .. . I planned to take pictures of my spirit week mural step-by-step ( Day 1, Day 2, final product, etc. ), but it didn't quite work out that way. I painted my whole mural in one night. There was not need to even draw out a plan because I was on a roll. I did the magority of my paining in one nonstop 3 hour period. I have not had such a relaxing experience in a very long time. It was pure therapy.

As I told you the theme for spirit week is fairy tales and my grade is doing snow white. I painted a mural of the scary trees. (you may or may not remember that part of the movie).

I love getting paint all over my hands!

Not a good picture. I will post a picture of it as it appears in our hallway.

wall art

Someone was complaining that there wasn't enough art on RanaArt so. . .

Every year my school has a week which we call spirit week. Students dress up everyday (blue and white day, movie character day, etc.) and enjoy games and contests at the end of the day. There are a number of competetive activites which anyone can be involved in: tug of war, boys poms, lip sink, blue mans stomp (drum contest), chariot racing (blankets on gym floor), or hallways. Can you guess which one I choose to be involved in?

Last year's theme was color, our grade chose red and I painted this building from the red square in Russia.

This years theme is fairy tales and our grade is doing snow white. I plan to do murals again. In fact, I had a nightmare last night that someone was making a mural of the friendly forest and they were not using shading! The trees in the mural were evenly spaced apart and it was awful. Hopefully it will not turn out like that in real life. I will be sure to post updates of my progress on whatever mural I make.
